Basement Waterproofing

Interior and exterior systems, foundation crack repair and sump pumps — built to code.

About this service

A wet basement is rarely just a basement problem — it's a foundation, drainage, and grading problem combined. FirmWay's waterproofing crews diagnose the actual water path before quoting a fix, so you don't pay for an interior system when the real issue is a blocked weeping tile or a downspout dumping at the foundation.

For exterior waterproofing we excavate to the footing, pressure-wash and parge the foundation wall, apply a rubberised asphaltic membrane, and protect it with a dimpled drainage board that channels water down to a new perforated weeping tile bedded in clear stone. Interior systems use a sub-floor drainage channel cut into the slab, routed to a battery-backed sump pump pit. Every installation is fully compliant with the Ontario Building Code.

Foundation cracks are injected with structural polyurethane or epoxy from the interior, sealing both the visible crack and the full thickness of the wall. Combined with corrected lot grading and downspout extensions, our work delivers a permanently dry basement and a transferable warranty that adds real resale value.
